This map layer shows the small arms exporting countries, grouped into five categories according to the maximum export volume in US dollars for the year 2017. Main exporting countries are those countries whose annual small arms exports are higher than US $100,000.

Example of how to read the map:

In 2017, Croatia exported small arms amounting to US $118,076,116.

  • UN Comtrade - United Nations Commodity Trade

    Since 1962, the UN COMTRADE database makes available annual statistics on international foreign trade. Since 2010, it also makes monthly statistics for 50 countries available. The data sets that are free of charge are classified in 90 product groups and have been converted into US dollars taking into consideration the current country-specific exchange rates. Since 1996, trade statistics of 189 countries on military goods (weapons and ammunition) have been entered into the database.
