The agency publishes the database "Online Index of Objects Launched into Outer Space" (OSO), which provides online access to all the relevant information on space objects. The Vienna-based United Nations Office for Outer Space Affairs (UNOOSA) was established in 1962 to promote the peaceful use of space. UNOOSA also compiles a register of rescue organizations and a catalogue of measures to be taken in the event of space accidents and collisions.
