This map layer shows the countries grouped into the present status regarding the ratification of the Mine Ban Treaty in 2018.

The Mine Ban Treaty entered into force in 1999. All signatory states commit themselves to never, under any circumstances, use, produce or trade anti-personnel landmines. The stockpiling of anti-personnel landmines is only permitted for special national matters. Anti-vehicle mines are not part of the Mine Ban Treaty.
